Resolutions are for other people

At this time of year I'd normally be making unachievable resolutions to myself - cut down on the booze, go on a diet and try not to go overdrawn . Not this year!

Diets! I've been reliably informed that due to the drug I'm on it's pointless dieting for another 5 years. Whether it's Weight Watchers , Slimming World or Cabbage Soup nothing is gonna happen weight wise. So the best I can hope for is to change my body shape through exercise - but I didn't know any of this before I signed up for the 1/2 marathon. Brucie bonus???? Will wait and see.

Booze! Now if my trainer has her way I should be out training when I normally put my feet up with a glass so I'm really interested to see how this goes.

Money! Think the government will keep me in the red so another pointless resolution!

But one promise I will keep is to be totally honest with you about how I'm feeling ..... It may be uncomfortable at times but you'll get over it!

Total minefield!

The good thing about having an iPad and mild insomnia is I can do research in the wee small hours. With hubby purring gently at my side I thought I should start with sports bras!

I'm not totally unfamiliar with exercise so I have a few that have been bought in various places , from ASDA to Less Bounce , they all did a fair job and the 'White' ones in the words of Visage have faded to grey! Time for some investment but where to start?

Blimey - who'd have thought they could be so expensive? Now I dont mind paying £50 for a bra especially when I have seduction in mind but to get hot and sweaty for other reasons it seems a bit excessive. Or is it?

After the breast cancer surgery 6 months ago my 'girls' have become very precious, titty the smaller has a new set of requirements ( btw - I haven't told my surgeon or my consultant yet what I'm planning!)so I'm reluctant to splash the cash just incase she doesn't get on with it.

If you've any ideas please let me know , but for the time being I'll make do with what I already have and as extra Vanish to the wash!

What have I done?

I've signed up for the Cardiff Half Marathon!

Some of you may think that's no big deal , but for an overweight , middle aged woman recovering from breast cancer not only does it sound a bit mad but it's also bloody daunting!

I don't know if I can do it but I will give it a good try. I've set up this blog to record my thoughts and share my progress - there are sure to be a few laughs and tears on the way. Hold on to your hats - this could be a bumpy ride!
